The OPSJT17048 is a mid-range SJT battery in Okaya's XBD+ range, ideal for 2BHK homes running lights, fans, a TV, and appliances like a mixer during power cuts. With its 140Ah capacity, it offers more backup than entry-level batteries while avoiding the larger size and higher cost of Tall Tubular models.
As per Okaya's CBH (Certified Backup Hours) declaration, independently verified by NABL-accredited laboratories under UMHD conditions, the OPSJT17048 delivers: 15 hours 5 minutes at 100W load, 6 hours 35 minutes at 200W load, 3 hours 50 minutes at 300W load, and 2 hours 30 minutes at 400W load.
The OPSJT17048 delivers noticeably more backup than the 110Ah OPSJT14048 at every load level. For example, at 300W load, the 140Ah model provides 3 hours 50 minutes of backup compared to 2 hours 45 minutes from the 110Ah model. Both batteries come with the same 48-month warranty. If your home's regular power consumption is between 200W and 300W, the 140Ah model is the better long-term choice.

If your area experiences daily outages of 8 hours or more or you regularly operate heavier appliances, a 160Ah or higher battery is recommended for additional backup capacity.
