On-grid solar systems connect directly to the electricity grid and reduce your electricity bill through net metering, making them ideal for locations with a reliable power supply. Off-grid systems operate independently using battery storage and are best suited for areas with limited or unreliable grid access. Hybrid systems combine the benefits of both by using the grid as well as battery storage for uninterrupted power. Okaya offers dedicated solutions for every requirement, including Solar Grid-Tied Inverters for on-grid installations and Off-Grid Solar PCUs for complete backup independence.

A standard on-grid solar system automatically shuts down during a grid outage as a mandatory safety feature to protect utility workers. If you require uninterrupted power during outages, an Okaya Off-Grid Solar PCU is the ideal solution. It stores solar energy in batteries and continues powering your home during power cuts or at night, while intelligently managing solar and grid charging to keep the batteries fully charged.

Your savings depend on factors such as system capacity, daily electricity consumption, local utility tariffs, and available sunlight. Most Indian households experience a significant reduction in electricity bills after installing solar. With an Okaya on-grid solar system, the electricity generated is consumed first, while any excess power is exported to the grid through net metering, reducing your overall electricity bill even further.

Net metering is the billing mechanism used with on-grid solar systems. Any surplus electricity your solar panels generate is exported to the utility grid, and you receive credits that offset the electricity you consume later. You are billed only for your net electricity consumption. Okaya's on-grid inverters operate with efficiencies of up to 98.6%, ensuring that more of the solar energy you generate contributes to these savings.

A complete Okaya solar solution includes high-efficiency solar panels, on-grid or off-grid inverters/PCUs, and solar tubular batteries, all engineered to work together for reliable, safe, and long-lasting performance. Okaya also provides nationwide service support and assistance with government-compliant approvals, giving you a complete end-to-end solar solution backed by a single brand.

Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, eligible residential consumers can receive a subsidy of ₹30,000 per kW for systems up to 2 kW, plus ₹18,000 per kW for additional capacity between 2 kW and 3 kW, with a maximum subsidy of ₹78,000 for systems of 3 kW or above. Group Housing Societies (GHS) and Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) can receive ₹18,000 per kW for common facilities, including EV charging infrastructure, up to 500 kW. Many states also offer additional incentives. Okaya's DCR-compliant solar panels meet MNRE technical standards, helping ensure eligibility for applicable government schemes. Please confirm the latest subsidy rates with MNRE and your local DISCOM before installation.
