XBD+ (Xtra Backup Design Plus) is Okaya's advanced inverter battery technology built on an advanced active material composition with higher surface area and enhanced surface energy. It improves the efficiency with which stored energy is converted into usable power during discharge, reducing internal energy losses so that more electricity reaches your appliances. The result is up to 15–20% longer backup compared to a conventional tubular inverter battery of the same Ah capacity.
The Ampere Hour (Ah) rating indicates how much energy a battery stores, but not how efficiently that energy is delivered to your appliances. Conventional tubular batteries lose a portion of stored energy as heat during discharge. Okaya's XBD+ technology uses an advanced active material composition that improves discharge efficiency, allowing more stored energy to become usable backup power. This enables an Okaya XBD+ battery to deliver up to 15–20% more runtime than a conventional battery with the same Ah rating.
XBD+ is Okaya's proprietary battery engineering technology that delivers longer backup. CBH (Certified Backup Hours) is the independently verified proof of that performance, tested by NABL-accredited laboratories under the UMHD (Urban Metro Heavy Duty) protocol and printed on the product packaging. In simple terms, XBD+ creates the additional backup, while CBH certifies and verifies exactly how many hours the battery delivers under tested conditions.
Okaya XBD+ batteries are available in SJT (Super Jumbo Tubular) and Tall Tubular (TT) variants ranging from 90Ah to 310Ah, with warranty options from 48 to 66 months. For a 1BHK, the OPSJT14048 (110Ah) is a compact choice. For a 2BHK, the OPSJT19060 or OPTT19060 (160Ah) is recommended. Larger homes can opt for the OPTT24060 (210Ah) or OPTT29066 (260Ah), while heavy-duty and commercial applications are best served by the OPTT34060 (310Ah). Each battery displays its CBH (Certified Backup Hours) on the packaging for easy comparison.
